  Free Community Dental Health Camps

Established in 1997, Kantipur Dental Hospital and Kantipur School of Dentistry aim to promote dental and oral health care education and services in the country and abroad. On its vision to quality dental and oral health care services and education, the institution has a team of dedicated, qualified and experienced professional doctors and supporting staff. Besides offering quality oral health education and services from a number of dental hospitals and schools of dentistry, the institution has been regularly offering a series of health camps in various places to create mass awareness among the general public regarding the value of oral health care services in the rural parts.

We had started serving communty through our effort to initiate free dental camp from within the periphery of Kantipur Dental Hospital and were able to reach approximately 13,177 people directly. Most others were indirectly benefited from the preventive services such as health awareness in the community and the schools. With collaborative efforts from organization and supporters, we have been able to conduct about 67 free community dental health camps since 1997. Most of the dental camps were organized by KSD and KD. A few of the programs were also supported by different clubs and organizations such as Rotary Club of Kathmandu North, Lions Club of Kathmandu & HELP Himalaya-Nepal. Our services are not only limited to Kathmandu but also reached to different VDCs of Nawalparasi, Butwal, Parbat, Syangja, Baglung, Pokhara, Dhading districts and other places.

Organizing the free community and school dental health programs, the organization has succeeded in winning the faith and confidence and also has promised to enlighten the community in the same way. We have already made a tentative plan of free dental camps and school dental health programs for coming years too.
